Educational Structures – Show #1 :
Host Don Goble interviews Dr. Jennifer Allen, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, and Rob Highfill, Director of Technology, regarding the district’s initiatives to Expand and Enhance Educational Structures and Instructional Practices. These include adjusting school start times and the calendar, technology support, integrating restorative practices into curriculum, expanding teaching and learning beyond the school day and building walls, eliminating K-3 suspension, analyzing grade level structures and transition, implementing bullying prevention programs districtwide, and enhancing social emotional support systems.
